i need stereo help

Im getting a Sony cd headunit for xmas from the parents and want to know exactly what looms or leads im gonna have to buy to get it all working. I have a mk1 172sport. I need to make the stereo compatible with the controls stalk on the steering wheel and so the display that says radio one and stuff still works. any help would be appreciated. i want to just go outside xmas day and install the lot. the stereo im getting is the sont xplod one (black with silver panel, orange lights) i think its being sold at about 90 to 100 quid from audio sites on here.

u need either an autoleads adaptor or a connect2 adapter so get ur stalk and siaply working. Theyre about £50. Search for em on google. Bit of a pain to get into dash though... but wiggle and eventually u will prevail!
