I-Pod Connection?

I have a little hole next to my Gearstick, Someone told me it was to connect an I-Pod just wandered if this is correct?

It is not the alarm light hole with the LED pushed out is it? Left of the gear knob and up a bit?

Yeah, sounds like it. Alarm LED hole - a bit concerning that it's missing, have you got an alarm?

thats the hole!.. should it flash? .. i know it has an alarm as it went off by itself the other day and theres 2 sensors on the front pillars

Right this has me abit worried now, just been out to look but its getting dark, how do i remove that part of the centre console to get a better look?.. i thought red light that flashes between the indicator lights was the alarm light.. I take it thats just the immobiliser light?

Is the little black surround still round the hole? The Led may have just been pushed back- I think you can get to it if you pull out the ashtray and the cup holder bit. Have a bit of a fish round- the led might be lurking underneath and it might just push back into the holder.

Yep the black surround bit is still there, I will have a look in the morning when its light
