I really do hate dealing with Renault!

My mrs was meant to be rebuilding her cylinder head today, but yet again it's another weekend lost to the completely incompetent parts supply side of Renault.

Opened up the main dealer supplied head gasket set to get the stem seals out and this is what we found!

It really is a ridiculous situation how often this happens, have had a set of 4 injectors turn up recently and two were Megane turbo as requested and two were twingo ones in Megane turbo boxes, had the wrong valves turn up, 9 bearing shells in a set etc

I just don't understand why ford and vauxhall are always spot on and yet Renault it's probably about a third of the time that something is wrong when I order stuff.

The cars are awesome but it's just so painful owning them when you have to deal with their incompetence all the time!

I get a lot of that with VW, things incorrectly packaged, or missing, though 99% of the time we spot that before giving it to the customer lol

Its amazing how many dealerships I've worked in and its parts that constantly f**k stuff up. Dont start me on how sh*t Chevrolet are in every aspect.

The package is sealed inside the head gasket package, no matter who it came from wouldn't change the fact that Renault packaged it wrong mate, it's not a dealership level problem, it's Renault themselves.

Nope, will just get a replacement pack after a long delay.
And if I open it so the mrs can get most of it done I'll then no doubt get told I must have lost them and have to buy another set.

What dealer is its from. In the 9 years I've work for Renault 9 years and yes we have a few supply problems. but generally its ok.

But like I siad, it arrived to them from renault sealed inside a headgasket kit, there was utterly no way they could have known that it was short a couple, they cant open and reseal everything that arrives, so its not the fault of the dealership at all.

The parts guy in Swindon is pretty good Chip.

I've had a similar issue to you with trying to source the low pressure PAS pipe for my car. Renault have a fault in the parts system which means you get a LHD pipe if you just go with what they list. So, that's what we got first of all. Then we order the correct RHD part and what do we get? A LHD pipe in a RHD bag! On the third attempt they got it right

Thankfully Im sorted now, Mike from MWM saw this thread and has offered to donate us a couple so we dont have to bother messing around with renault as he has a load of them in stock anyway.

So for now the mrs has rebuilt the head with 14 valves while she had the time off and can do the other whenever as it wont take her long to do the last two
