Alot of people on here spend hours / days cleaning their car???

I find it a punishment!

So why do you lot do it soo much??
 


How can you find it a punishment?

Its a bit different cleaning your car to cleaning a moped ;)

I must admit its a chore but i only spend an hour or so on mine.
 


Tis horses for courses, some people like to clean their cars, others like to do engine mods and such like! Whatever takes ur fancy!!!!

If we were all liked doing the same thing, it would be a very very boring world! :sleep:

FEck off. No more optimax in ma ped. Optimax is for cars and possibly bigger motorcycles!

Tesco petrol has been the best all rounder in my ped IMO!

na i havent got issues with people cleaning their cars, i do it

my problem is with having 10+ posts about "oooh check out my shiney paint work" threads scattered all over the place

Ive suggested to the "powers that be" that a car cleaning specific forum should be included on the new site

makes sense to me!!!

im not having a go at anyone etc etc, all the cars look stunning

just expressing/discussing my views, as im not the only one that thinks this!!

some people dont care about there cars, some do.... we are the ones laughing tho when we sell our cars quicker and for more £££
 


and i agree with fred it is a bit mad having all those threads!!!!! and is a good idea for a separate part of the forum
 


ive just had a wash does that count

i did however like the dirty car thread oh it was just sooo dirty only to be viewed after 8pm please!!!!!
 


It gets a touch boring when you see the 8th just cleaned std 182 each day.

Taking pictures of your car (clean or filthy) in interesting locations is great. But driveway clean shots are just boring. Perhaps a mod could put an autopost on each thread saying looks great mate

But when ur readign the 50th post on thsi wax made it more glossy.....who really gives a fook hey?
 


i look after and clean mine, cos when i was younger and my dad left me my mum and my sister we had little money, so we had to look after what we had, respect what we were given, and i still do even now, were all happy now. and i earn loads lol. plus it runs in my family my gramps (both) loved cleaning there cars, and my dad and me.

i occasionaly spend 5 hours on mine, say every few months, but then i just wash it down and towel it dry and im done, thats the beauty of a properly prepared car
 


if its warm then I love spending time washing my cars :D but if its freeeezing then I do it quick as possible

As has already been mentioned, each to their own.

Why do some ppl get up at 4 in the morning to go and sit on a river bank all day just to catch 3 tiddlers, and then throw them back.

BTW, if i saw a thread Just washed and waxed etc, and i wasnt interested, then i just wouldnt go there.
 


Because if you really put the work in for just one day (mine only took 4hrs) just 3 or 4 times a year they are ridiculously easy to clean in the future. At the moment for example I could get a great finish on my car in 15-20 minutes, the dirt just washes straight off. I used to spend an hour+ every week cleaning the car, but with a few major cleans spread throughout the year the rest is easy.

I cant see why people wouldnt keep them clean to be honest. Spend £7-13k on anything and I would make damn sure I looked after it, makes sense surely? I happen to enjoy cleaning it to be honest, get outside for a few hours and get a great result at the end of it.

Same with anything else in life I guess really, I could say I dont understand why people go out and spend loads on drink every weekend, I can have a perfectly good weekend whilst sober (even out at the pub) as I dont feel the need to get drunk to enjoy myself, everyone is different!

Agree with this! Why spend £50 so you chuck it all back up at the end of the night and feel like sh!t in the morning?!? (or is that just me? lol :p )

I wish mine cleaned itself sometimes though - white is a b!tch to keep clean, even after just one day parked up!
