ICE help!

After installing my sound system ive found that the front speakers and the subs are making a constant whining noise. this is not due to altenator whine as it is constant and occurs with only the ignition on aswell. ive tried a different amp, and it still happens. the speakers work unamped and the HU is still working fine. could this be a faulty wire? any help would be appreciated

Does the whining get louder when you rev your engine?

it does it when the engine is not running it is NOT the alternator!

have you wired the rca lead next to the power cable? if you have try seperating these.

i did do but then i seperated them and the problem still happens

Mine did a similar thing but when the engine was running, I went to audio shop and got an inverter loop or something like that and it cured it. go down to an audio specialist shop they should be able to tell if you need the same thing. Sorry I cant be clearer I cant remember what the thing is called now, a something loop...

I dont think that will cure it this is very loud even hear it alot when cd player is off
