Iceberg Silver....Advice and opinions please.

  VX220
Ok so i bought my car with three scratches, passenger door, rear offside quater and tailgate, where it had been keyed. The women at the garage said she would take it to the body shop to have them touched up...well they are too deep to touch up so she didnt do anything about them!
So i went to my local body shop, who did a cracking job on my mums cars, and he said that the hole panels will need to be re-sprayed. I dont doubt this at all, I was just wondering if anybody has had they silver car keyed, filled sanded and polished? and what the results were.
I was quoted around £415 for all three panels to be resprayed, sound about right?
Cheers

I had an Iceberg 172 with a scratch on the passenger side door and a scuff on the front bumper .I took it TO 4 different places , 1 of them being flying colours who do smart repairas , they all said it need to be sprayed all quoting around £450 . Got a bloke at a backstreet garage to do em both for £120 which my neighbour kindly paid for as she scratched my bumper ;)

Apparently Icebergs a sod of a colour to match , thats what they all told me anyway .

yeah i was told that as its not a solid colour if he tried to polish it out it would probably just make more of a mess!

Silver in general is a hard colour to match. Are the scratches very deep at all ?? say if your run your fingernail over it will it catch in the scratch ??
