Iceburg or Titanium?

I've found a Ph2 rear bumper for sale for pretty good money, thing is the guy selling isn't sure whether its Iceburg or Titanium.

Any idea's how this can be found out bar me driving to him to see it next to my car?

If it's a 182 bumper (ie with the exhaust cut out's) it'll be titanium. If it's a 172 (no cut out's) then it's iceburg.

Only the ph1 172 came in both silvers. All silver ph2 172's were iceburg, all silver 182's titanium.

glad i've found this thread.

just been round j8tro's, we have both brought 2002 172's.

mine was registered 03/02 and his was 07/02, however, the colours look totally different! but it must have been the light. his looked bluey/grey and mine looked silver.

does anyone know where to find the paint code?

Ph1 titanium is code 647, iceburg is code 640 iirc

how do you know from visually looks if it a iceburg or tit?

^Iceberg is a lot bluer than Titanium.

It may have been sprayed so nothing set in stone what colour it is - just something to consider lads
