Idle’ing and speedo problems

when i started the car up this morning to look at something, it was lumpy as hell, felt like it was going to stall. gave it some revs and it calmed down. turned the engine off, and back on and it was doing it again, gear stick shaking, vibration in the car. its been sat on my grass for 2 days though, this maybe the problem, or should i get the car checked out?
at the same time as this, the rev counter was sat at about 1.7/1.8 - any ideas whats causing this?

AND - between 30and 40, the speedo is all over the place - do i just need to grease the cable

btw, the car is a phase 2 RT, N Reg, 1995

grease the speedo head/cable end for the speedo problem.

maybe the distributer cap etc has got a bit damp from being stood.recheck it the next morning after it has had a decent run.
