From a cold start the idle seems fine but get to the end of the road. push the clutch in and it varys from 2.5k revs down to about 100 rpm to the point were it almost stalls. tapping trottle and lifting it up with my foot makes no difference. i had a new throttle cableput in (although he problem started before it snapped) so i know its not the cable sticking or wearing.
When i go to pull away i'll put my foot dwn and the car judders and puts no power down at all just makes alot of growl from the IK. then all of a sudden it picks up. almos as if its running on 3 cylinders then the forth kicks in and its fine. this is becoming a problem now when pulling away from junctions etc.
It had a new coil pack about 9 months ago because it failed.
Another coil pack maybe? HT lead breakin down slowly? Spark plug beaking down?
Its been a while since its had a service and the HT leads are he origionals. The car is on just over 103K now. Anything else i can check? fuel filter was suggested?
Its a '98 mk2 ph1 1.2 8v
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
