Idle control valve

Hello,can anyone show me in the engine bay of a 172 where the idle control valve is,as mine is playing up(whisteling noise)and i want to see if i can change it myself....many thanks.

Is yours a ph1 or ph2 mate?

ph1 has it mounted in the plenham, to the o/s of the coil pack, it has an electrical plug on it, a pipe off the bottom and 2 bolts holding it on.

Ph2 doesnt have one.

Yes its a ph1,i think i know where it it then,just a matter of getting to the two screws and just replacing it.
