Idle problem on 1.2 mk2

Ok, this clicking started happening under the drivers headlight and i started getting idling problems, stalling at junctions and at speed when changing gear. this parts looks like its got a vac line going to it. so i assume its got something to do with idle control.

Any help would be appreicated.

Ok, heres the images, the part i'm on about thats ticking/pulsing up close. also if i disconnect the vac line( I assume its vac) the idle stabalises a bit. Also could someone indicate where this idle valve is. thanks

thats the carbon canister the petrol vapour goes into that via the line you car has an electric idle control on this engine sometimes the motorised throttle body can stop working properly causing this problem

Thanks for the reply. Can carbon canister block up and cause trouble. Will try cleaning the throttle body, also intakes.
