Idle re-adjustment on a 182

Poo...

So a remap would do it then? (not that I want to pay £££ just for that).

Can I try to program it myself? :S

Remaps for £350 now if you realy want.
Nope there no have a go programming the only thing you could do is unplus one of the throttle potentialometers (which works out throttle position) as idle is then increased to 1.3k.

Hmm.. will that affect the rest of the throttle operation ?

I can't be arsed with the revs dropping when I'm changing gear.

Omar, I've just got my ECU back from Fastchip today with the 182 'Group N' reflash.

I know exactly what you mean about the revs dropping and the idle speed, and this does what you want. Throttle response is so much quicker too.

I always said the R-sport i had on my 172 was much nicer to drive with because of the higher idle, and this is the same (although not quite as high as my rsport was)

if it uses a potentialometer, depending on how its used (high resitance = fully open, or high resistand is fully closed) you could used a simple, 30p resistor...a potentialometer is just a varible resistor with a fancy name!

this would only work if the potentialometer is used like so:

high resistance = fully open/full throtle

you could also simply add a varible resistor in line so you could adjustit whenever you liked!

The fatty - I wouldn't recomend this insurance companies won't like it disconnecting the wiring though you could say was just a faultly loose wire.
