R35 GTR
I have heard you need to let the turbo cool down before switching engine off. I dont think i leave it long enough.
As on a few occasions now i have come back to car after a few minutes, started it and its shot up to 3000/4000 rpm, twice it dies down to a normal idle.
BUT! this afternoon, it had a 4k idle and coolant temperature shot up to near maximum. I switched off and tried starting a few times, but to same effect.
So switched engine off, heaters on full and opened bonnet till needle was half way again. Tried to start and it was all fine.
Dont understand it, i went for an hour blast after this with no problems.
