... you get an engine warning light coming on?

Mine hasnt... However I have a large missfire at low revs and a lack of power, Exhaust is backfiring at idle now and again and a funny burning smell.

Ill be whipping the leads off the coil tomorrow to check it.

Any other sugestions?

my coil pack gave a warning light when it went, although i had 100 other problems... from throttle body to throttle position sensors to llamda sensors

How would i check the lambda sensor?

The Missfire is only at Idel and low revs, seems to clear it's self or not be as noticeable once you get going?

I have a really Daft question LOL

Where The F**k are the plugs?

Do I need to take off the Inlet to get to them?

^ Yes mate

i would say llamda sensor to be honest. Either giving a false reading, or not giving a reading at all. Get yourself to a garage for a diagnostic before you take advice off of here though. DO NOT take it to Renault as they'll charge you £65 just for that.

I doubt it is the plugs tbh

Crap I was hoping I would have to go get a Diag check done... (My old mans a BMW Tech so was hoping he might know what was what) Think I may need to invest in a code reader

Nah not yet! Still sounds cool though popping and banging LOL

Im sure its not coil related as i got a Nice Shock off each lead when i tested it LOL

Im now thinking Lambda / Plugs or HT leads.

My old man is back from his Holiday tonight so it will be a nice welcome home present for him to look at my car tomorrow LOL

Sounds exactly like the problem I began with..

I broke down last night, had to be towed home. Engine management light came on and started flashing, lost power and it began bunny hopping until I managed to stop. Diagnostic check revealed that it was my coils.. so I am searching for a place to buy a new pack at the moment.

I've never known a lambda to cause a missfire.

Change plugs for the from NGK PFR6E-10.
The coil pack could still be at fault, don't rule it out.
the lambda to go for is an upstream one. NGK OZA660-EE21
