If this is a really stupid question...

I apologise now but why is my header tank filling up with water when I run engine? If this is usual then I will crawl back in my ignorant hole I came out of but never seen this before? It is the small hose going in near the top of tank.

Yes this is normal because the coolant is hot in the radiator and the header tank is cooling it down

My old mini never had a tank also. This was because the fan ran all the time to keep the radiator cool

Mine is the injected one with a header & rad at the front now!! Superb I will be watching it tomorrow now see the water going in !!
