Am I the only one that finds it sad that fan-boys are getting in a lather over engines? And they aren't even Italian?
To go back to the OP.. a V8 of that size doesn't belong in a japanese car. Imo someone needs to buy the car minus the engine for £1000, and put the right engine in it. And buy a new bonnet cause hes cut a dirty great hole in that one.
... lets look at other engines that spin at 9krpm and last longer that are that small and put out that much power.... erm there are none lol!...

Playing Devil's Advocate:
Taking into account the 13B-REW is FI and produces between 250 & 280bhp in stock guise: What about the Honda F20C? Comparable output (240-ish) I know of some that have done 140k without a rebuild.
Some of them aren't that pretty lol.
