Scooter NCB doesnt follow over iirc when i tried it didnt work? also NCB only starts when you have a full licence not provisional again iirc.

didnt realize you could use your scooters no claims bonus on a car if you can thats cool as i have 3 yrs no claims on my old scooter before i got my clio ....

im using it now with prudential they accept scooter ncb on a provisional, quite a few companies do, dropped my insurance by 700

Time spent driving with a provisional licence does count towards your no claims bonus as long as you are the main policy holder. If you have been a named driver then some insurance companies will give you a discount when taking out a new policy in your own name.

Depends on the company alot of companies wont even insure you on anything that says sport like that. Best thing is ring them i found as i little white lie saying you got cheaper quotes elsewhere can get you places

That is nice, dont know if i like the colour. When i was your age i was looking at R33 Gtr's all the time, i found the more you look the more you want.

Well i went from a 1.1 8v 106 (mk1), then when i turned 18 i traded it in for a 1.4 16v Dynamique Billabong (Clio) and then when i turned 21 i bought the 182 an i am on a apprentice wage

Your best doing stepping stones, then there is less chance of you crashing etc. My mate has a R33 Gts-t that is modified an when i was 20 i had a go an decided i would kill myself with something with that power lol.

Evo 9 or R33 Gtr next something Japanese lol

Mate, I live in Bolton, one of the worst insurance postcodes in the country, got my 172 at 20 paying roughly £1600 insurance, dropped to £700 at 21 just to give you an idea.

You've just got to search around on the internet for your best deal. Try as many companies as possible if your looking to get one. Make sure you can afford all the servicing/extra running costs compared to your 1.2 too. IIRC, to try and slightly reduce your insurance you can put your parents name on the insurance with them as the named driver. You tried insurance on a 106 GTi?

Im 27 had my 182 since 24 and im paying £380 Fully Comp with 10 yrs NCB and living in South London...

No way i'd go Third Party on a car like this though - Fully comp all the way
