yesterday lunchtime, on my way to skool, i was going thru the backlanes like i always do. after picking up a fair bit of speed along the "home straight" i slowed down to a sensible speed (as i do everyday) to go up the narrow laned hill. a WOMAN was coming down the lane in a red skoda fabia right in the middle of the lane, but this is normal, and most people shift over as there is room for 2 cars. but shed didnt, and i was going a bit fast to slow down enough and its a really bumpy road. result? we clipped wing mirrors, and at the time, i had my windows down and the mirror glass smashes off and hits me in the face!!!!! the body coloured plastic bit on the back of the wingmirror popped off and was lying perfectly on the floor. i got out and went up to the woman and we decided not to bother exchanging details as it was 50-50 and both had the same damage. then i went back to get the plastic bit, and just b4 i cud go and get it another woman drove over it and totally demolished it and i was like NOOOOOOO!!!!!

went to renault later on and they were saying:
glass= £22+vat
plastic= £18+vat
paint= £25+vat

so i was pretty annoyed! then one of the old mechanics took me round the back to show me a blue 51-plate clio that had been written off. he took off the glass and wingmirror plastic and sed, go down halfords, get some primer and paint and spray it ureslef m8, but dont tell ne1 i sed that! and i was like NICE1!!!! wudave given him a 5er or somethign but didnt have ne cash on me unfortunatly.

neway- how lucky is that? now all i gotta do is make sure i dont mess the paint job up, ne tips? (ive got black metalic paint, and grey primer)

my face went from, "oooh wat a nice day it is", to, "sh*t wat was that bang, ahh my face hurts", to, "this is gonna cost a bomb", to, "how lucky is that, a main dealer actually giving u something for free!"

so, dont appologise for laughing yet (but wen i mess up the paint job, then u shud appologise!!!!!!)

Exactly the same thing happened to me! But the Audi driver didnt stop!! The quote I got from Renault for the glass, plastic shell and painting it platinum silver was almost £110!! Rip off merchants!

s2pth nice one on the bargin, but as for the women, f**king idiots, i hate it, country roads they always sit in the middle and expect u to get your nose right into the hedge, i would have got her details and made a claim on her, stupid bint, i know was ur fault having window down, but u could had some serious damage from glass in your face, just because she couldnt be arsed to slow down and pull over to her side of the road properly leaving plenty of space for both cars to pass.
