If you acn afford one and you like the look then go for it but extra gains?dont think so just abit extra noise!!!

I'm sure they do gain - How much is open to debate. I would say they work best as part of a mods package rather than in isolation on a standard car.

Neil82Cup who used to be on here did a 14.2 @ 98.9mph in his Cup. Was his quickest time for a while.... fitted his maxogen and did a 14.2 @ 100.1 mph.

Not a massive difference, but a gain all the same.

They show 7bhp on their website - And lets remember that ITG are not some sort of MaxPower company or a company that just sells other peoples stuff. They do filters. And veryt well I might add.

Just not cheap. lol.

I had on on my 172 Cup. Like the thick b*****d i am, i sold it on the car as i thought i was getting a CTR. Instead i got a 182 :( I will be getting another, nothing aftermarket comes close. :)

Yeah i can see what your sayin but how do you no which mod you are gaining from as you say you didnt feel much gain from the others untill you fitted maxogen, mines not totally standard ive got full system and decat and origally had aitg panel before maxogen and tbh i noticed more gain from taking oe system and replacing with full system,im not sayin they dont give gains im just saying that i dont feel them and tbh i think its give mine a flat spot at 4k were as before i defo didnt notice

GET the induction tract optimised, that seems to be the way. Maxogen , bigger body, flowed inlet manifold. Stick on GroupN ECU or re-map to fully exploit the extra air. I think that is more benificial for power than the exhaust.

Sure. Best thing ive found replacing the standard exhaust for a Milltek is weight. The standard 182 system is HEAVY. I could instantly tell the difference picking the two systems up, the Milltek must be a good 3-4 kg's lighter imo, and that still is a twin box design.

Have you read the box/instructions as it states if you oil the filter too much when first fitting you can lose hp!

LOL The metal bit on engine where silicon hose is fitted on to with big jubilee type clip. Do'nt have the big body myself, but if all is well and the creeks do'nt rise , I might get one plus cams next year.

I'd be tempted to resite the battery to get a straighter inlet tract than fitting a larger body... but I'm not a mechanic. From reading various sources it seems that a 90 degree bend in the intake is far from ideal.

I'll go with Andy's recommendations , but I'd think that straight tube with the dodgy looking foam filter sitting in a hotspot ca'nt by that effective.

Best filter in the world has to be the Gruppe M stuff I had one on my ep3 they were nuts mind you it did dent my wallet a bit for one
