That is actually really lovely, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking ? imagine one as mint as that demands a bit of a premium.

Love it, nearly bought one for my 21st but went 106 gti instead ...

Hows the fuel cap ;)

www.fiestaturbo.com was the 1st forum i ever used, was a member for years when i had my 1.6 si  might be worth a look if you're not on there already ...

Strangely enough, Adrian, the owner of the site bought an RB 182 and did the Recaro fitting guide that now resides on here somewhere.

Liking that, PROPER old school hot hatch, not like the massive bits of crap we get these days.

Looks awesome. Must be a bit of a downgrade from the 172 though. I haven't driven one but in standard form they're a fair bit slower. Hows the handling on it?

Sorry for the tread hi-jack.
Do you have any more details about the cossie powered one??

Back on topic.
Fiesta looks good mate. The Recaros are in brilliant condition. Looks a really good example. Not many RS's around anymore. Shame.

^ I missed that post, yeah deffo need more details on that. I've seen one Cossie'd mk3, it was a wide arch blue one that some girl who worked in Halfrauds owned.

- Sorry for the OT.

hes got a mint red rst which had a 2.1 zvh running 350bhp with quaife diff, zetec s rear beam, diesel box, monster brakes. but it had trouble putting the power down. So he decided to go 4wd. He's currently getting it tunneled and should be on the road early next year. i went in the car down the local bypass and it was only running 230bhp, that was fast in its self let alone 350bhp when it caught grip. i think hes just keeping it standard power until he gets used to it.

Don't you get excited over old BM's Rob?

Love it mate, great colour. Think the old school diamond white is my fave colour for the turbos with nice green trim.

Really does look immaculate, didn't see how many miles it had done.

Looks like it's been restored or looked after so the petrolo cap area will probably be rust proofed if it's lasted this long!

Fenn, it's a classic. If you were a for nut (or from Essux) you'd understand it son.
That looks great.Just needs a nice set of old skool wheels to set it off i think...
Maybe, I'd go with with Fords ones personally, Escort Gti wheels look nice. I'd steer clear of Venoms & Stealths though.
Tbh it looks ace on the standard 14's.

Wow !!! Weapon & it sounds like it properly sorted ! :) I wonder if he can crack Sunny's 188 mph ?

White is nice yeah. I reckon the worst colour is red. It's on 95k iirc (ad on PH ;))

  Turbos.

The owner is from Torquay, no excuses there!

Maybe i'm too young, but did the Fiesta set the world alight? In comparison, the reason the Mk1 Golf GTI is able to pull it of is because it was (ignoring the technicalities) was the first GTI, and genuinely outperformed many more expensive and established sporty cars.

The Golf was also penned by Guigaro and is a design classic. The Fiesta on the other hand...

^ The OP is a Ford nut, he says he's Ford through & through, that's why he likes it.
The Fiesta RST didn't set the world alight at all, but at the time it was the best Fiesta Ford were knocking out, same for the Escort RST etc. That's why they are iconic, they also carry the RS badge, which Ford nuts (me included) love.
I think the same could be said for most other 'hot hatches' of that time, eg the 5 GTT, folk like those, but to most they are nippy little tin boxes.

Just like me not really getting the whole valver thing Rob.

Ford nuts get wet over OE mint examples of cars like this and for 95k it's looking proper tidy!

Looking forward to more pics.

Cat i'm guessing you ment Radiant pink/red? ;)

Correct. Years ago (before I had a valver) I was looking at RS turbo's (both of them) and I found a bloke (total nut) in Kent with a red one - he was selling it as he's just got an Ash Black Escort Cos - without the top rear spoiler:eek: (I thought this sounds promising) The fiesta was up for top top money, me & my old boy shot round there & it was fooking pink ! Only one of the wings was the proper colour. I was like wtf ?? Dude !! He goes, yeah they fade ! I'm like :dead: On the bonnet where the washer jets were it was a different shade too where the washer fluid had hit the bonnet:S
It needed a full respray & tbh I didn't want to take that on. Unless he really reduced the price he probably still has it !

Radiant red! Oh my! I had a mk4 fiesta 1.3 encore as my first car.

When the red was polished it really was mint and to this day I still love red cars.

I looked after the fiesta so never went pink, my brothers mk3 did :(
