Image sizing help

Right, was hoping this is the right place to answer something that has had me going nuts for the last 2 hours.

Say i have an image of a mountain range that is 458x300.

How do i make that image about 600x150 ?

I realise that i would go all blurred but is there not a tool in photoshop where it would double the moutain range but still blend it in so you cant tell its been shopped.

Create a 600x150 document, and copy in the pic

Then do Ctrl+T (Transform) Then just drag the picture to the size of the 600x150 canvas

If thats what you mean


..also, if you want to double something like a mountain range, I often use the mirror effect. Copy the layer, reverse it, and put it next to the original, so it lines up

Image Resiser Tool. Right click and adjust!
