Just picked up my new full fat arctic blue 182 with both cup packs from motorpoint this morning , French import . I was told by the salesman it only had a 2 year warranty and no AA Renault assistance . So i phoned renault UK to register the car . If its a direct import from France and not intended for Cyprus or Holland you do get AA Renault assistance ( renault UK are gonna sort it out for me ) and i got 33 months manufacturers warranty because the car has been in the country for 3 months .
Just wanted to let people know if they are thinking of buying an imported 182 . They are gettin pretty scarce now , most of the ones left are silver .
£12,227 on the road :)

That's new. You always got the warranty but they didn't get the AA cover. That's a bit good of them.:approve:

I got my 172 from Motorpoint, mine was a Dutch Import.

yep i had to pay extra for my first year's RAC cover, haven't bothered since, never had any problems. They try to sell you tyre insurance and all kinds of sh*t, I was like, no, no, no, no, just the car thanks!

Funny that you mention 33 months warranty...

I had my 172 (bought from motorpoint and registered with DVLA on 2nd April '04) at a Renault dealer for the first time a couple of weeks back for a new alternator. Dealer was a bit funny as soon as they found out it was an import, but I just mentioned that I'd spoke to Renault UK and arranged it all, etc. I was expecting to have approx 14 months left on my warranty but found out I've actually only got 12 months, as my car had been in the country since 20th January '04. Still a bargain at £11,227 OTR IMO...

Lol , they tried this with me , key insurance , tyre insurance ......just give me the f*ckin car ;) .

Bought it part finance part cash and the salesman f*cked up and quoted me a cheaper price than the finance manager so they had to honour the lower payments :)

nah, prefer prorace 1.2's to the monza's.

You sayin , no ,as in they are sh*t or you just prefer the prorace ones ? I do like the prorace ,but where i live is across from a school and i have to park close to the pavement cos of the traffic , i'm sure as hell gonna kerb em and they have writing on the rim that would damage and look pretty sh*t part worn off .

Is the AA europen cover?

It used to be on the V6 IIRC, but not on the rest of the range. When I went to France last year I had to pay extra to add a weeks Euro cover.

You dont have to have the writing on the pro race range. Id go for SuperGTs before monzas

Hi Guys,
Forgive my ignorance but are these imports left or right hand drive? I have my new 182 here in Dubai but i'll be bringing it home with me in the next year and its left hand drive, will the remaining 2 years warranty still be in tact?

I didn't think they did the superturismo gt in the offset for a 182 ?? Gt's would be my first choice so thats why i was looking for a multispoke alternative .

  Mk1 V6 Import
If my new V6 was purchased in 2002 and first registered in UK on 4th Jan 2006, will it have any warranty left over? Can I get a UK warranty etc? Not sure where I stand with this as yet?
