The only problem with imports is that you only get 2 years warrenty. no alarm and no locking wheel nuts

if you write to Renault you get 3 years Full warranty just the same as a UK car, I have warranty work done on my import in the first 3 years no problem. Wheel nuts are £25 and an alarm around £300, a considerable saving over the cost of a UK car.

When i took my import for its first sevice i asked them to check on their system and they told me the warranty was 3 years.

Contact Renault UK and you also get 3 years AA, i believe.

No problems at all, upto now.

BTW, i've also had warranty work done, no probs.

good thing about imports are they are cheaper than UK cars
Bad thing is when you come to sell them on, they're not worth as much as their UK bro's..
If you're gonna keep the car a while, do it.
not had any problems with mine

It all evens itself out. I bought a new 03 172 import and saved a good £3k on the price I would have paid at a dealer, when I traded it in with a Renault dealer I got a part ex which was £1k less than if it had been a UK car.

I had loads of warranty work done on mine, but I did only keep it a year.

We talking about left hand drives here?

And yeah i spose it depends on whether you want to keep it.

By the time you sell it things will have levelled out, especially if you sell it private...................no difference what so ever.
