How many miles are on the clock? More miles the better mpg. Mine was 21mpg at 9k miles, it's improved loads now it's on 20k I usually get about 32, but sometimes as low as 27. 37 on motorway runs.
I get 14mpg... think yourself lucky! - I do drive a 350z though...
Take your foot off the go pedal,
WOW, Honestly?!
Just stay parked up with the engine off... that'll get you from A-B
Guys quick question.
How could I improve my mpg on my 197? Would a live map/remap do much? Just I'm getting about 90miles out of £20.
Thanks
Marty
Needster she's a 07plate and has 25kon her.
I checked parkers and said it is 10.3k for trade price. Considering trading it for a diesel motor if the map won't improve the mpg...
Lol exactly. Silly comments
I don't go heavy all the times. Plus I went proper slow to test the water to see if it was my driving and I still doesn't improve all tht much!
miss needster , does using cruise control not guzzle more fuel??
Doesn't seem to in my Needwagon. Maybe that's because carrying all my need around outweighs the CC.
Speed limiter helps the fuel.
Until you look into remaps etc. just experiment with changing your driving style.
Biggest enemy to MPG is wieght and changing speeds constantly, accelerating and wasting energy by braking.
Why does everyone complain about MPG then, can't have it all,
MPG in a Clio is usally very very good, far better than its rivels. should be in the mid to high 30's at least, in a 172 and 182 under normal driving.
Iv heard the 197's are thirsty.
Poor mpg could point to a problem with the lamdba sensors potentially
