In-car bluetooth idea!

Car  Less
Had this thought some time ago, due to the onset of bluetooth digital technology. We all know how much of an arse it can be to feed all our aux out cables from the head unit all the way to the rear of the car (boot).
My idea is this, seen as we can transmit voice and sound via bluetooth aswel as other data would it not be possible to have a HU that was bluetooth equipped and simply 'sent' the sound rather than having it fed down the cables (pre-outs). Then we would need some kind of bluetooth receiver in the boot (or whererever) to receive the data and convert it back into a wave form that then could be fed direct to speakers/amps etc...
Now I know you would also need a +ve and -ve feed in the boot along with remote switching but surely the bluetooth idea would cut down install time/costs in the long run?

And discuss...opinions more than welcome peeps

Haha very well Daz. Just sorting sound sounds for it at the moment. Its not too bad sorting the audio needs when the battery is in the boot on the Mini! hehe!

That aside, I think in time, the technology will come that makes audio installations much much easier. :)

Even if we could send data wireless to an amp say, I think it would be a bit hard to do, as you would have to pair it with the head unit, and every amp would have to be have a different name etc otherwise you might pick up on the car next to you. You could possibly come up with some way of doing it personally but I'm not sure it could ever take off big time because of the costs involved.

Ahh I had an idea while laying in bed last night. I've got some of those cordless headphones that I used to use round the house and in the garden before MP3 players were about, anywho you could very easily adapt one of them to send your music to an amp. Wouldn't be the best of quality but there must be someway you could do it by bluetooth. Just a thought for ya!
