I have reacently bought a 2001 mk2 ph1 172 and my imobalisor will not turn off and my ns door does not work on my key fob can any1 help???

Does the red light on the dashboard go out when you turn the key.

If not then try the other key if it still doens't work then its most likly the imobiliser picup ring there onyl cheap and easy to swop.

some times the light will go out but sometime it it stays flashing, but it doesnt realy make much differance wich key i use, sometimes it starts fine and other times all the ignition light's come on but when i try to start it their is nothing,

i have got my prob sorted, turns out some1 neer by has a wireless router workin on the same frequancy as my imob, whats the odds?
