Clio 172
Bit of a strange one. I have been prepping my 172 for track use over the past couple of weeks and have been replacing the steering wheel for a smaller one.
On my indicator stalk unit i accidentally fried the wires for the airbag, so i got a new indicator stalk and fitted no problem.
My 172 is a 2003 model, and the replacement indicator stalk unit i bought was from a 2001 model.
When i have put everything back together, i get the warning lights on my dash and the fault codes relate to the steering angle sensor. Ive tried resetting them (with a dealer level diagnostic) but no avail.
Just really wondering if i need to get a steering angle sensor from a 2001 model to match the indicator stalk? Or should there not be a problem with this setup and the problem might lie somewhere else?
