indicator stays on (very weird)

Drove back from aberdeen to northampton and after driving through horendous rain the indicators dont flash on and off they stay on constant.

any help will be appreciated

i dont know what im looking for tbh,never had this happen with any car ive had,nor even heard of it happenin.

where is it situated?
