Indicators Flashing when braking...

Ive had a quick search but not turned up anything, probably searched wrong but anyway...

When my mate brakes in his mk2ph2 his indicators flash :S

I said clean the clusters and wd40 them, clean and check the bulbs but he's just phoned me to say its still happened,

Any idea on the fix?

Is he stamping on the brakes? They flash if you brake hard (emergency stop situation).

I had this problem, water had got onto the connectors and coroded them, had to chop them off and wire new ones in the end.

But I know loads of people on here have said clean the connectors thoroughly and that sorted it.
I'd say most likely its the connector.
Does his fog light do anything weird as well?

Dont think so is just a electrical fault like when the fog lights come on, thought it was corrosion, hopefully an easy fix.

So it was the connectors that clip onto the clusters?

Maybe ill tell him to spray wd40 into the connectors.

Edit: just phoned him hes saying when he brakes the indicators flash, or when hes indicating and brakes the indicators are cancelled.
