  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Hi guys, can anyone suggest a induction kit for a clio 172 please. Wanting a good sound but not wanting loss in power!

Any help would be great lads, cheers!

open ones sound the best but lose little power due to the heat being sucked in
panel filters best at keeping standard power but dont sound differnt than normal panal filter
enclosed sounds a little bit better then the panel filters but not as good as the open filters and mixed views on power gain/loss.
go for a extended open filter away from the engine with a heat shield i reckon.

Oh yes!

Rather expensive but the link to the k-tec site gives you an idea of what its all about.

If you can get hold of it cheap somewhere else, its an obvious choice over a pipercross.

hi
the ITG is a good choice
but if you dont want to spend that much i would go for the BMC
just over half the price

Another can of worms

Ive had the viper on my car for 2 weeks now

1 - throttle response has greatly improoved
2 - no noticeable loss in power

Get it on the rollers...

Proof is in the pudding as they say.

Blasting a fan onto a car that isnt actually moving isnt going to simulate how a filter functions... for example the myth about vipers producing better results by not connecting the feed, I have no doubt in my mind that a viper with the feed not connected will get better results on the rr than a properly fed viper from the wheel arch, but actualy on the road im sure the fed viper will function better and perform better. Also you could take your car in for a rr with filter "a" on then weeks/months later have filter "b" rr and get completely different results, some people will think this is due to the filter change... its just that rr's are not that accurate and for it to spot something that increases/decreases hp by 1/2hp is very hard.
