Induction Kit Question

Hi All

I own a MK2 172. I have decided i am going to keep it after considering selling it. The question is, the car has already been chipped and got a full magnex exhaust system, would you say:

1) Its worth adding a induction kit
2) Will there be much noticeable difference in responsiveness/power
3) What kit would you recommend?

Thanks!

:D

Closed induction will give you best performance as it's got cold air all the time, open air inductions will give the best noise but faulter slighty as they tend to suck in warm air too.

Get either a hillpower induction or replacement air filter in your standard air box.
I've got a K&N 57i on my 182 and it's ok for sound but not so ok for power although the torque range at mid power is better.

I'm taking mine off as I want a panel filter in my original air box.

I bought an open air induction filter, and fitted a heat shield. I then fitted a cold air feed to the bottom grille. Makes a nice noise, but cant say theres really much difference in performance, maybe a little smother in acceleration, and it also reduced my fuel econemy
