Hi, I've got a 92 Clio 1.4 with an induction kit that came with it. For insurance purposes I want to take it off, but I actually have no idea what parts I need, or how to actually take it off.
You will need all the OP air box and cold air feed maybe get from a scrap yard or Ebay . Should just be a case of undoing the clip that holds the filter on to the throtle body and maybe a breather pipe .
What's the OP air box?:S Sorry this is my first car I have no clue what anything is? Is it a simple job? Will I need to get the original parts before I can drive it?
Breather pipe?
I don't want some s**t overcharging me for something I can do myself. How much should I be looking to pay for that?
Do you reckon if I just took it into a garage and told them to take it off they would?
But you'll have to find out from Renault or from someone on here with the same model, not sure if there's a difference in airbox between a 1.2, 1.4 etc.
i wouldnt bother takin it off as an induction kit isnt gona ramp your insurance up plus its not an obvious mod ie like alloys or bodykit, therefore i wouldnt declare it to your insurance. if they cant see it.......
Yeah thas what I thought !
Is that thing in that ebay thing the only thing I need or would I need something else as well?
Thanks everyone for their help so far
