They don't do BMC or ITG filters for 1.2 - 1.6 8 or 16v engines in thier product range because I wanted to get a ITG panel filter and checked out BMC too and it's not listed anywhere.

ITG told me they could make 1 for me if I took my car in and it would cost around £250 to make, fit and have thier CAF.. For less then that, I could get a P-X Viper kit with probs 2-3 bhp power gain. I can't speak for ITG.

My K&N panel filter was £36.99 from Ebay.

thanks again, so K & N are the better ones then rather than the piper x?

I thought about the 57i kit is this any good? I think they are about £80

I think £80 is ok anything over that i think is abit much I've only got a 1.4 16v...whats the differnec between the £80 and the £170 filters then?

Generally the more you pay, the better quality you get. Carbon Fibre induction kits look amazing under the bonnet and better quality all around, but they are at the top end of the price range.

I don't know about the 57i kit, I've heard they are good, but like all open air filter cones they can suffer from heat soak unless protected from engine heat.

Don't expect big power gains!!

I've got a K&N 57i that I took off my car that you could have (fits k4j and k4m engines), only problem is I'm at uni and it's at home. So I wouldn't be able to get it for about a 3-4 weeks lol

Came off a 1.4 16v clio ;)

I took it off as I do a lot of motorway miles and it was just too loud for me on long journeys. Getting old I guess!

Cleaned it about a week before I took it off as well!

Where abouts are you based then?

Sounds good to me, I'm based in St Albans Herts but work in north London.

PM details price etc...where are based sorry? Maybe if not too far we can meet?

Back to that whole 57i kit vs. Viper, so I've been informed the viper is right on a bend, which means the air going into the filter is going in faster and creates a vortex within the enclose filter, giving more power, also the heat shield prevents the air heating up before reaching the filter, so more air in smaller volume reaching engine, big thumbs up. I reckon though a decent forced air induction cold feed from the grill would be aight. . .plus it looks super cool :approve:

if you want noise - any induction kit will do, they are all pretty much the same. K&N have a good reputation and their kits are good quality

if you want performance i wouldn't bother with an induction kit at all, not even a closed one (ie a viper etc) a lot of money for little/no gain imo :(

get a panel filter and make up a better CAF (cold air feed) like miller light has above^^^
