its on a 05 plate which is 4years old so 40k is around average milage! its not a cup iirc so will have all your luxurys and its inferno so not a bad price imho! also its from a dealer! go see it and if you like it knock em down! credit crunch mate!!

I have a 182 ff inferno, also on an 05 plate. I got it last October in a private sale for £6k (mileage was 36k).

I'd say it wouldn't be a bad buy at £6k (assuming this BTC place is a dealer and it comes with some warranty)

BTC have had a lot of bad press about them but i need some where to trade mine in as I don't want the hastle of sellin my car! I won't pay more than 6 for it anyway I think they got an offer on for free parrot bluetooth or summat but I can't really see much about it?! Is there anything I should look out for?

Its gonna need belts towards the end of the year, early next year so bear that in mind as its a pricey job.

Loads of threads on here about what to look out for but nothing out of the ordinary on clios. Take it for a spin and see how it feels. Check for knocking noises and strange noises from the engine - tapping etc. General stuff rly.

Not a fan of the parrot kits sorry. The nokia low-end model is pretty good and only costs £30 off the bay.

Belts are £800+ from Renault but independent specialist usually charge £400-£450. Will need the lot doing tho - Cambelt, Aux Belt, Tensioners and pulleys.

- on 41k it should have had it's 36k service - including the aux belt.

Ha I'm looking for a 182 atm, and saw that one at BTC and laughed at the price. Plus it's pink. I wouldn't buy a car from them either. A 2005 05 182 with 40k or over isn't worth more than £5,400 really.

Personally i'd sell the car you have privately, then go clio shopping. You wil lose out if you go for a part ex with a garage.

Why do you want to part exchange at a dealer. That's how to get raped. I've done it once, but got a bloody good trade in value on my old 172.

Sell your current car, and buy a 182 private, or buy private, then sell your car. No way am I trading in my car after seeing the difference between trade-in and private sale prices!!

Being lazy just isn't the way to go about things. If you go to a dealers for a part ex they will want to make a good few hundred from you (at least)
Having the monies to buy the car puts you in a much better position.
