Is anyone running any Infinity comps from a head unit, either reference or Kappa range?

Yeah i know, had some sony ones in my old vtr, all fully amped sound alot better than when they were through head unit, (i know sony arn't the best but got em cheap)

Got an Alpine CDA-9855R head unit though, you can alter the frequency range on that (to a degree)?

Got some referance co-axials in the back, sound alot nicer than originals? Just debating on comps for the front?

the Infinity comps @ around £100 are pretty good tbh

if your spending more then i think better can be had for the money

for around £100 comps also look at Phase Evolution and MB Quart

dirt cheap pay that much in halfords for the reference range

ive got a set of kappas up front and 2 subs in the rear all amped up and it sounds pretty decent

which model kappas u got mate? the ones i linked above or they grey 2005 range ones?

I got the 5000cs references running off an Alpine amp and Alpine HU.

Sound great. Shame they rattle my doors though and I cba to set them up super good

running infinity 5002i straight off the head unit. sound loads better than the old sony's i had in before. even near full volume the sound is crisp and doesnt distort. cost me 55 quid new

do any of you lot know whether the 16.5cm Infinity Reference components would be a straight fit into the doors of the 172 or do you need door pods?

I had a set of References in my Saxo, and they were better than std, but i don't doubt they'd be better amped.
