is the inlet manifold or plenum ( the bit that has the renault sport written on ) interchangable between the 172 and 182?
reason i ask is i recently purchased a new inlet/plenum which was listed as being for a 182 but how can i check without starting the job and finding out then hardway ?

The "Plenum" is the upper part with Renault Sport yes and they are similar but not identical as the breather system is slightly different.

At the back of the inlet there will be 2 holes if its a 182 1 for brake vacuum and the other carbon canister. And on the 172 there will be 1.. A 182 inlet will fit a 172 but unless you get rid of the cc the 172 inlet will not fit a 182.
