D Dave_W Car mk1 172 Nov 17, 2005 #1 OK, not sure, so thought I'd best ask The air hose that comes from the top of the inlet manifold down to the induction kit, the big black flexy one. Is it the same on a mk1 172 and on a mk2. Is it different to any of them, eg cup / full fat. Does it make any difference? Thanks

L Lagerlout Car VaVa Nov 17, 2005 #3 I know the airbox itself was improved over the mk1, but I would imagine that the hoses are the same.
F Fred@BTM Car Lionel Richie Nov 17, 2005 #4 the mk1 172 is the better airbox IMO you mean the vaccum feed coming off the inlet (next to the throttle body)???

L Lagerlout Car VaVa Nov 17, 2005 #5 If it's better, how comes they changed it then? Was it for noise levels or something?
D Dave_W Car mk1 172 Nov 17, 2005 #7 I've got some pictures if you wouldn't mind taking a look and possibly pointing me in the right direction?

L Lagerlout Car VaVa Nov 22, 2005 #10 Of course it is. It must have so much better for Renault to get rid of it.
