Inlet Manifold

  mk1 172
OK, not sure, so thought I'd best ask

The air hose that comes from the top of the inlet manifold down to the induction kit, the big black flexy one.

Is it the same on a mk1 172 and on a mk2. Is it different to any of them, eg cup / full fat.

Does it make any difference?

Thanks

the mk1 172 is the better airbox IMO

you mean the vaccum feed coming off the inlet (next to the throttle body)???

I've got some pictures if you wouldn't mind taking a look and possibly pointing me in the right direction?

If it's better, how comes they changed it then? Was it for noise levels or something?

something to do with the Mk1's lack of FBW throttle?...........

which is far superior btw.
