Inner Tie Rod Change

  172
Hi Guys,

I am looking to change the nearside inner tie rod on my 172 due to the Track rod end locking nut being seized.
I have tried to get the nut off but the blow torch I have available to me is not hot enough.
How do you get the Inner rod out?
It runs into a boot but stops turning a little way in?
I have read that you need a Renault tool for this does anyone have a work around?
One last thing are pattern parts okay for this?

Cheers in advance.

Pretty sure this has been covered a million times - try the search?

Inner rod - use a proper tool, or a viscus spanner from under the car. The rubber gaiter you just cut a cable tie and pull it back
Outer rod nut - get a long pipe wrench or something on it, they can be seriously tight, but soaking wd40 and applying some heat should work.
If not just undo it from the hub and replace the inner and outer tie rod together
