Installing backbox and centre pipe

Hi. ive just recieved my standard 172 backbox. I also bought a replica centre section for the same car. Where the two join together, the pipes are the same diameter. Is this a problem, and could the two pieces be welded together? Or should they slot into one another?

You have to buy an expensive (£20) clamp from the stealer.

Or you could bodge up a sleeve and some exhaust clamps, but it will leak.

when i had my magnex fitted cost me £25. or buy a clamp for £3 from a car spares place, bit or tape of gum and bobs ur uncle.

Just get the a sleeve from renault. That way the two sections would be joined properly and would cause you no further agro!!

One thing I have learnt with exhausts is do it properly or it will come back to haunt you again and again and again and again.....:S
