Installing component speakers?

Where have everyone put their tweeters? Is there space in the cover next to mirrors?

also how have you run the cable to the door speakers?

I have pulled the plug off that connects door to car, no room to fit a cable.

hi mate i put my tweeters in the top of the dash where the standard ones are, they needed a little bit of cutting the mounting to get them in but its worth it. as for the doors just find the wiring going in before the plug in the kick panel and wire to that so you don't have to go into the doors at all.

i got the vibe SA50's you can mount the tweeter inside the main speaker
simple and easy, i got to the stage you were at, had a beer then thought nahhhh lol
If you get it done mate would really appreciate a how to guide

I had some sort of bluetooth reciever hard wires for handsfree behind the dash. This was hooked into stereo loom, so though, fook me dont want to lose this cool gadget.

It cut speaker wires coming from stereo loom and wired in the amp connection to run the speakers from there.

Tweeters:

I noticed the crossover is only needed for the tweeters, as the input goes direct to the output for the woofer. So Put the crossover under dash near tweeter.

The tweeter was easy ish. I cut the little pod mounts that came with my new jbl tweeters and they eventually slotted in and arent coming out again.
The tweeters then fit in and held eveything in line. Wire these to crossover.

Woofer:

This hasnt been done yet, but again, going to just wire into the original loom. two wires, jobs done.

sounds like fun, the trouble i had was with the vibes they have like 6 connectors on the woofer and would of resulted in me cutting part of the plastic backing out of the door card.
I stuck some vibe co-axials in the front in this case and the components in the back with the tweeters mounted in the woofer. Not just going to buy some uprated tweeters and wire them into the noraml wiring which is in place for the front.
This should work...... shouldnt it??

Get the tweeters mounted in the A-pillars or as someone suggested - in the miror backing plates
