Installing lights in boot?

  Jap Box
Hi,

My current boot light switch is broken and doesn't ever turn the light off, so I would rather do the following than follow the switches wire to the light to find out what the problem is with it.

I have two sets of LED strips, that are behind the two panels to the right of the boot.

ll the wires and switch are there already as I have done this, but where would the closest place to wire the positive and negative wires?

Would the current boot interior light be the best place to cut into? I dont mind loosing the interior light from there as I can move the switch to that spot then.

What colour wires would need to be cut?

Thanks :)

if you have a sound system, you could use the power wire there, and install your own switch.

failing that, a multimeter onto the old interior light to find the live and wire to that.

yes you can cut the wires going to the boot light as i have done this myself to add a boot light the other side. so i now have x2 boot lights. cant remember the wires i cut tho.
