I believe you have to tell them at time of renewal? Not if u get them during the period ure already insured. Or at least thats so with mr trunkie at elephant.
Yep you have to tell them they need to know but shpuldnt care. Loads of people get points. Insurers wont take much bother soon as driving at 32 in a 30 isnt going to increases the risk of you crashing the car will it.
Tell them as soon as u get them. I told my insurance company about my points and then wrote my punto gt off about 6 months later. The insurance company then said i didnt tell them about the points i had, which they were blantently lying about because i definately told them. Because i had no proof however they "froze" the claim until i paid up £160!!!!!
