Insurance again....

  320d
This question has probly been asked several times but i couldnt find it in the search so hear goes.

Do you guys think that i would be able to find insurance on a 1*2 next year @ 19 with 1 ncb in a cat d postcode with 2 years driving experience for under say £1700

Is it better to phone up or go online? I am planning my next car purchase but i need an idea so i know how much to save ect.

Thanks a lot

Brett

im just like you, 19, 2 years driving experience and 1 years NCB (no crashes though) and i cannot get insured at all on a 1*2 at all

yeh i thought that,i think i will go down the getting something circa 1.6 benifiting from cheap insurance for another two years and getting my 1*2 when i'm 20-21. The thing is tax and fuel wise a 1.6 isnt far off a 2.0 but performance is far from it.

What annoys me is i'd be much more careful in a 1*2 because if i crashed i'd have to give it up, and it would be my hobby etc... not just rag it round like the usual young t*ts

scottish postcode brings the cost down loads.

from when i was looking around 'most' insurance companies require you to be 21 to own a 172 etc or will insure you for absolutely shitloads

its easy to say that but by the time i'm 25 petrol will wither be gone or i'll be driving somthing with less power than my 1.2 16v that hugs trees, terrible times :/

1600 would be a fair target, very much doubt you will be lower than that.

I'm 19, 2NCB, 1 non fault accident and 3 points SP30, with Adrian Flux on a modified policy is £1750 with £500 excess, on Money Supermarket I think it was I got £1600ish on one.

Postcode is middle of the road I think too.

^ Nah no discount, they just ask, don't ask for proof or offer a discount.
