Insurance and car tax question

If you buy a car without tax but get it insured temporarily as a add-on on your normal policy would you still be able to buy a tax disc even if it was only insured for a say a month?

As far as i know yes, all u need is a cover note isnt it so i dnt see why not. As long as ur names on it then they cant really say no i dont think

Yes, unless the rules have changed. I had my last car insured for a week on a temporary cover note whilst I sold it and bought a tax disc whilst on the temporary cover note.
