Insurance claim from Jan?

Just had a call from my old insurance for a claim from Jan? i no longer have the car and my insurance on it expired last month with no issues of any claims. There is no proof of this so called 'accident' apart from a claim that should of been delt with over 3 MONTHS ago. Now have a new car with a new insurance company so where do i stand?
