Insurance Expectations

Hi all

Im thinking of buying a 1.4rt however one of the main factors is insurance costs. I currently have a 1.0 mk3 fiesta which cost me £980 Third Party. Ive been driving 5 months (7 months of this insurance year to go) and im 18 and have 0 ncb. I was going to phone my insurance company (Endsleigh) about this today but theyre closed. Does anyone have any idea how much extra this would put on my insurance if I got a 1.4rt TPFT instead of 1.0 TP.

I was thinking, with 7 months to go it would probably be about another £400 (£1400 total) as im guessing a full years would have been about £1800.

Any comments, guesstimates of previous insurance costs appreciated.

Many thanks
Dazz

Thing is ive already had my insurance with Endsleigh since november. So only 7 months til i get a years NCB. Is the saving likely to be worth swapping? What sort of figure you reckon id be looking at?

Thanks

A guy who lives near me works for CIS and he reckons that they are one of the best insurance companies for young drivers as immediately they allow some no claims bonus which I think is about 30%

Can anyone confirm this if they are with the CIS and a new driver?

Im also interested in knowing how much less (percentage wise) my insurance will be once i have my first years no claims bonus and 18 instead of 17.

Is L&V still the best young drivers one then? I heard their web estimate is no where near what they really give and that it doesnt include recovery and all that sh*t you get with directline.
