When it comes to insurance are Clio Sports on a Dynamique, for example, classed as aftermarket parts.

If you put parts on your clio from a different spec of clio, you still need to declare them to insurance yeah.

They aren't factory standard and I suppose they are classed as aftermarket.

Yup im afraid so.

At the end of the day in the insurance eyes its a bodykit. As you have replaced most of your panels - yet be it with a Renault panel or not.

Its not standard spec.

Well worth declaring or you will be shafted.
In the event of a claim etc... they will replace with standard parts and you run the risk of being found out.

Yes you would. In some cases it might be cheaper to get a cliosport!

I remember a mate few years back converted a fiesta 1.1 with an RS bodykit, by the time he finished and insured it, it came out as £100 more than it would have cost to insure a RS lol

i had a astra sri mk5 1.8 16v before this clio and i had a quote for insurance with me putting in a vxr lump result was 3 grand !

priced insurance on a vxr and it was £1100 wheres the justice

anything which makes the car more desirable 2 thievs will give u a higher premium !
