When I was 18, the insurance on my mk2 ph1 1.4 rt was nearly £2k (1yrs experience but accident at my fault and 3 points) so £1400 isn't bad tbh. Try elephant and try Norwich Union if you have pass plus. NW normally have higher quotes but I got a 50% discount with pass plus! RAC are good too.

With regards to confused.com, they were all high, so I picked the company with the lowest quote, re-did the quote on their own website and they were the cheapest I found anywhere, so worth the hassle just to find a decent company lol

If Tesco are the best so far, try the "Tesco Value" product instead. Higher excess and less benefits but should get it even cheaper than the standard product.

yes that was tesco value mate and the cars worth 1400 so dont really wanna pay 1400 for insurance but parents want me to be fully comp id rather be 3rd party as if its a high excess anyway then defies the point of fully comp

some company i think theyre called farm insurance te guy said its the best price youll eva find but also they dont advertise and i hadnt heard of them until my mate recomended them so no wonder they can do it cheap

the only way i got a quote that cheap was withthat tracker deal from norwich union, but you couldnt drive between 11pm and 6am and you could carry more than 2 passengers and you got charged £50 every time the ignitionis started after 11 even like driving it into the garage £50, because the track the car they can tell if you reguaily speed so can void the insurance, they can tell if your car is in not kept where you said it is, goddam big brother watching us. and they also restriced you to like 150 miiles aday or incur a penailty, lots o other strange terms and conditions.
you might find that thing you need to sign may say no passengers and stuff, readit very carefullly .
