Insurance help!?!?

  04 1.2 Dynamique
Hey im 18 soon and really really want a 172 or 182... I could afford the car itself but any insurance quotes are ridiculous... I realise that I will probably need to hold off for a few years but I just thought I would ask if anyone knows anyway of getting reasonable insurance on one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! As I would love to have one!
Cheers, Ally:approve:

is this in parents name as you as named driver?? surely cant be fully comp tho can it?? may just b callin up direct line n gettin a quote!!

i wouldnt waste your money mate, 18 year old bought my 1.4 and was paying £1500 fully comp, a little suggestion for you though, any questions pm me....

okay, if you use arnold clark insurance brokers they give you a instant 5 years ncd at the end of your first year, now if you cancel and ask for proof of your ncd they give you a slip saying 1 year.....now how to get round that and this is what i done, at renewal they send out your renewal papers which state 5 years, dont send these back, simply write to them and cancel, keep the renewal forms and go to another insurance company and give them the renewal forms and hey presto you have 5 years ncd

Arnold Clarks number 0845 121 0424

other way would be take out a large excess say £1k and insurance the excess, cant recall who it was but was a company offering to let you insure an excess for a fixed sum

i had no problem at all with it, norwich union accepted it no worries, as long as the renewal docs state 5 years there is no issue and from working within insurance i dont know why they wouldnt let you
